Description

Support the Fluidics Development team with bench and instrument-based testing for mechanical assemblies and motion control systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform bench and instrument-based tests, ranging from single measurements to Design of Experiments (DOE) and robust optimizations.
• Develop, assemble, and maintain test fixtures, laboratory equipment, and fluidics facilities.
• Develop test protocols and conduct part inspections to ensure quality standards.
• Execute troubleshooting and root cause investigations for mechanical assemblies.
• Write technical reports and K-briefs documenting test results and suggesting engineering improvements.

Required Skills

• 5-10 years of industry experience in hardware testing and mechanical assemblies related to motion control and structures.
• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering with a focus on Fluid Mechanics.
• Experience troubleshooting technical issues with suppliers of sheet metal, machined, cast, and injection molded parts.
• Proficiency in developing test protocols.
• Strong troubleshooting and root cause investigation capabilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to travel 5-10% for project requirements.
