Description

You will implement firmware architecture and system management software for Flash Array and Flash Blade platforms.

Responsibilities

• Architect and design software modules with minimal mentorship.
• Develop, review, and maintain code, design documents, and test plans.
• Write automated unit test suites and provide quality reports covering static analysis, code coverage, and CPU load.
• Collaborate with security teams to align code with product security goals.
• Drive product life cycles as a module owner in an agile development environment.

Required Skills

• 3+ years of experience in BMC firmware development on x86 or ARM platforms.
• Hands-on experience with board bring-up and device drivers including I2C, SPI, PCI, SMBus, and Mail-box.
• Experience with OOB or in-band system management using IPMI, KCMS, DMTF, or Redfish.
• Proficiency in C, C++, Bash, Python, Go, or JSON.
• Strong Linux fundamentals, including kernel/user-space programming, package management, and image deployment.
• Knowledge of REST architecture and JSON over HTTPS.
• Understanding of distributed systems with hands-on coding in IPC and RPC frameworks.
• Experience defining architecture for errors, stats, and configuration for CPU, DIMM, SSD, NIC, IB, and BMC.
