Description

You will manage and oversee Linux infrastructure, focusing on physical and virtual machine lifecycle management.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Build, configure, and maintain physical and virtual Linux machines using RHEL and OEL 7, 8, and 9.
• Manage Linux repository servers, YUM, Apache, REAR, NFS, Samba, SSSD, and Linux firewalls.
• Implement Linux hardening practices and disaster recovery plans to ensure security and compliance.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts using Python and PERL.
• Support Oracle Database environments and manage web/application server installations including cPanel and WordPress.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in Linux system administration, specifically with RHEL and OEL.
• Proficiency with YUM, Apache, REAR, NFS, Samba, and SSSD.
• Strong scripting capabilities in Python and PERL.
• Experience managing HP DL servers, ProLiant servers, and 3PAR SAN technologies.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Hyper-V and PowerShell scripting.
• Solid understanding of TCP/IP networking, firewalls, and secure network practices.
• Experience managing NetBackup solutions for data protection and recovery.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with cloud migrations and operations using Azure and AWS.
• Linux certifications such as RHCSA or RHCE, and Oracle Database certifications.
