Description

Build and maintain systems that improve efficiency and analytics capabilities for the investment team.

Responsibilities

• Own the full software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, application design, and data modeling.
• Design and implement large-scale microservice-based APIs to support quantitative analysis.
• Collaborate with the Software Development Group to deliver, support, and enhance system projects.
• Interact directly with investment managers to translate requirements into automation and improved analytics.
• Write clean, maintainable code and implement unit and integration testing.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of hands-on development experience with Java or similar statically-typed languages.
• Proven experience in the finance industry or a similar high-stakes technical role.
• Experience designing and implementing large-scale microservice-based APIs.
• Proficiency with complex SQL queries and working with large data sets.
• Strong understanding of software development concepts including source code control and continuous integration.
• Practical understanding of design patterns and system design.
• Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or a related discipline.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with Java 8+ and the Spring/Spring Boot Framework.
• Experience with JavaFX or other UI toolkits.
• Knowledge of financial products, virtualization, load balancing, or infrastructure security.
