Description

You will manage and maintain the core data platform infrastructure, focusing on Teradata administration, performance tuning, and security compliance.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Administer the Teradata platform, including database management, node management, and Viewpoint administration.
• Monitor ecosystem health using PSIM, managing performance tuning and resource optimization.
• Automate platform tasks such as upgrades, provisioning, and maintenance using scripting.
• Manage backup and recovery procedures and ensure compliance with federal security standards.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in systems engineering or platform administration.
• Proficiency in scripting languages including Bash, Perl, and Python.
• Experience with ETL processes and Glink.
• Strong knowledge of Unix and Linux environments.
• Experience administering Teradata Tools and Utilities (TTU).
• Familiarity with cloud computing fundamentals and resource allocation.
• Knowledge of networking concepts and firewall operation.
• Understanding of security and compliance requirements, specifically NIST 800-53.
