Description

You will manage and optimize core database and systems infrastructure, including Teradata administration and Unix/Linux system tasks.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Administer Teradata databases using Teradata Tools & Utilities (TTU) and Viewpoint.
• Manage system upgrades, node management, and workload management for PSIM systems.
• Tune performance and optimize system resources to ensure stability.
• Handle backup, recovery, and general Unix/Linux administration tasks.
• Maintain compliance with NIST 800-53, IRS Pub 1075, SSA, and Medicaid standards.

Required Skills

• 3+ years experience with Teradata database administration.
• Proficiency in Bash, Perl, and Python scripting.
• Experience managing ETL processes.
• Hands-on experience with Unix/Linux administration.
• Familiarity with PSIM systems.
• Knowledge of firewall and security principles.
• Understanding of cloud fundamentals, preferably Microsoft Azure.
• Ability to communicate technical issues clearly in written and verbal formats.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with compliance frameworks beyond those listed.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Azure services.
