You will design and document technical blueprints for migrating legacy applications and servers into greenfield environments.
Responsibilities
- Create granular physical diagrams including rack layouts, floor plans, cooling, power, and cabling requirements.
- Develop implementation strategies covering IP addressing, firewall ports, and configuration settings.
- Design server environments including Bill of Materials, virtual guest summaries, and hardware requirements for new office setups.
- Execute Design Operations Reviews to validate architectural blueprints before they move to the build team.
- Architect migration paths for Windows 2012 servers from legacy environments to Active Directory-based greenfield environments.
Required Skills
- 5+ years of experience in systems engineering or technical architecture.
- Expertise in Active Directory (AD) and LDAP authentication migrations.
- Ability to produce highly detailed physical and logical infrastructure documentation.
- Experience designing server environments, including rack layouts and power/cooling requirements.
- Proficiency in defining standard naming conventions and networking equipment standards.
- Strong understanding of network diagrams to integrate service connectivity and port requirements.
- Experience managing large-scale migrations from legacy environments to new infrastructure.
