Description

You will design and document technical blueprints for migrating legacy applications and servers into greenfield environments.

Responsibilities

  • Create granular physical diagrams including rack layouts, floor plans, cooling, power, and cabling requirements.
  • Develop implementation strategies covering IP addressing, firewall ports, and configuration settings.
  • Design server environments including Bill of Materials, virtual guest summaries, and hardware requirements for new office setups.
  • Execute Design Operations Reviews to validate architectural blueprints before they move to the build team.
  • Architect migration paths for Windows 2012 servers from legacy environments to Active Directory-based greenfield environments.

Required Skills

  • 5+ years of experience in systems engineering or technical architecture.
  • Expertise in Active Directory (AD) and LDAP authentication migrations.
  • Ability to produce highly detailed physical and logical infrastructure documentation.
  • Experience designing server environments, including rack layouts and power/cooling requirements.
  • Proficiency in defining standard naming conventions and networking equipment standards.
  • Strong understanding of network diagrams to integrate service connectivity and port requirements.
  • Experience managing large-scale migrations from legacy environments to new infrastructure.
