Good to Have Skills: Object-oriented analysis and design experience, proficiency with optics, PCIe, SPI, I2C, retimers, FPGA, CPLD, MDIO, Ethernet Interfaces (10ge - 400ge), timing protocols (SyncE, PTP), Flash Driver knowledge, fault tolerant system design paradigms, and excellent communication skills for technical documentation and senior management interaction.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Lead multiple project teams of software systems engineers and development partners through all stages of design and development for complex products and platforms including solution design, analysis, coding, testing, and integration.
• Manage and expand relationships with internal and outsourced development partners on software systems design and development initiatives.
• Review and evaluate designs and project activities for compliance with systems design and development guidelines and standards while providing tangible feedback to improve product quality and mitigate failure risk.
• Provide domain-specific expertise and overall software systems leadership and perspective to cross-organization projects, programs, and activities.
• Drive innovation and integration of new technologies into projects and activities in the software systems design organization.
• Provide guidance and mentoring to less-experienced staff members to support their professional development and growth.

Experience Required: Typically 14+ years of experience in software systems engineering with strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent
