Description

Lead software systems engineering for complex products, covering design, development, testing, and integration.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple project teams and development partners through all stages of software systems design and development.
• Review and evaluate designs for compliance with systems guidelines, providing feedback to improve quality and mitigate failure risk.
• Provide domain-specific expertise and leadership to cross-organization projects and programs.
• Drive innovation by integrating new technologies into the software systems design organization.
• Mentor less-experienced staff to support their professional growth.

Required Skills

• 15+ years of experience in software systems engineering.
• Strong proficiency in C and C++.
• Deep experience with Linux operating systems and device drivers.
• Solid understanding of distributed systems and system architecture.
• Strong background in testing methodologies.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage relationships with internal and outsourced development partners.

Preferred Skills

• Proficiency with hardware interfaces (PCIe, SPI, I2C, MDIO, Ethernet 10G-400G), optics, retimers, FPGA, or CPLD.
• Experience with timing protocols (SyncE, PTP) and flash drivers.
• Knowledge of fault-tolerant system design paradigms.
