Senior Systems Testing / QA Specialist

Akkodis is seeking a highly experienced Senior Systems Testing / QA Specialist to support enterprise‑level application testing initiatives within a large, complex public‑sector environment.

The successful consultant will provide expertise across manual and automated testing, defect management, test planning, and quality assurance, ensuring solutions meet business, technical, and accessibility requirements, including AODA compliance. This role requires strong collaboration with development, business, and project teams while supporting Agile and Waterfall delivery models.

Scope

Provide strategic advice on testing approaches, test plans, tools, and resourcing

Plan and execute GUI and non‑GUI testing for large enterprise systems

Support system integration testing, regression testing, specialized testing, and UAT

Ensure delivered solutions meet functional, non‑functional, performance, and accessibility standards.

Assignment Deliverables

Test strategies, detailed test plans, test cases, and test execution reports

Functional, integration, system, regression, and user acceptance testing results

Defect logs with analysis, prioritization, and resolution tracking

Automated test scripts and execution results (GUI and API).

Expertise Required

Must Have:

8+ years of experience as a Software QA / Testing Specialist

5+ years testing Commercial Off‑the‑Shelf (COTS) applications

Strong experience testing enterprise applications in Agile and Waterfall environments

Hands‑on experience with defect tracking tools such as JIRA or Azure DevOps

Proven experience developing and executing test plans, test cases, and test scripts

Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)

Experience supporting system integration testing and UAT.

Nice to Have:

Working experience with test automation tools (GUI and API)

Ability to write SQL queries for backend and data validation

Familiarity with performance testing tools such as JMeter or LoadRunner.
