Description

Key Responsibilities

Tableau Development & Visualization

Design, develop, and maintain interactive Tableau dashboards, reports, and scorecards.

Build intuitive visualizations that deliver actionable business insights.

Develop reusable workbooks using calculated fields, parameters, filters, sets, actions, table calculations, and LOD expressions.

Create executive, operational, and regulatory dashboards with strong focus on usability and performance.

Optimize Tableau solutions for scalability, responsiveness, and user experience.

Data Analysis & SQL

Translate business requirements into effective data visualization and reporting solutions.

Analyze large and complex datasets to identify trends, KPIs, and business insights.

Develop and optimize complex SQL queries for data extraction and transformation.

Work with relational databases, data warehouses, and cloud data platforms.

Create efficient Tableau data sources, extracts, and live connections.

Perform data profiling, reconciliation, validation, and root-cause analysis.

Stakeholder Collaboration

Partner with Business Analysts, Product Owners, business users, and technical teams to gather requirements.

Conduct dashboard demonstrations and incorporate stakeholder feedback.

Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers.

Participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, and backlog refinement.

Performance & Production Support

Troubleshoot and optimize Tableau workbook and dashboard performance.

Monitor Tableau Server performance and recommend improvements.

Support production deployments and resolve reporting-related incidents.

Maintain documentation for dashboards, data sources, and reporting processes.

Ensure compliance with enterprise reporting, data quality, governance, and security standards.

Required Qualifications

8–10 years of experience in Business Intelligence, Analytics, or Data Visualization.

Strong hands-on experience with Tableau Desktop and Tableau Server; Tableau Cloud experience is a plus.

Extensive experience developing complex Tableau dashboards and visual analytics solutions.

Advanced knowledge of Tableau calculations, LOD expressions, table calculations, parameters, sets, and actions.

Strong SQL skills with experience using Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Snowflake, or similar platforms.

Strong understanding of data modeling, dimensional modeling, and data warehousing.

Experience with Tableau performance tuning and optimization.

Experience integrating Tableau with enterprise applications and data platforms.

Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in Banking, Financial Services, Capital Markets, or Regulatory Reporting.

Knowledge of financial products such as equities, fixed income, derivatives, or securities.

Exposure to regulatory reporting, compliance, risk management, or financial analytics.

Experience with Python or R for data analysis, automation, or data preparation.

Experience with REST APIs, Git, Azure DevOps, Jira, AWS, or Azure.

Experience with Power BI or other BI platforms.

Familiarity with data governance, metadata management, and data quality frameworks.

Tableau Certified Professional or Tableau Certified Data Analyst certification
