POSITION OVERVIEW

The Senior Technical Analyst will join the Research Infrastructure Product Line, Data Movement & Storage (RIPL DM&S) team to drive the enterprise deployment of the Agilent OpenLAB CDS 2.x platform (OL:CDS) for Merck. This role bridges architecture design, hands-on AWS cloud resource configuration, system validation, and lab deployment management across a regulated pharmaceutical environment. The primary objective is ensuring a seamless, GxP-compliant release while serving as the technical escalation point for instrument connection and Agilent Instrument Controller (AIC) builds.

DAY-TO-DAY RESPONSIBILITIES

·       Collaborate with the Technical Lead to assist with enterprise OL:CDS platform architecture design and configuration.

·       Request and configure AWS cloud resources to align with OL:CDS platform architecture and business workflow requirements.

·       Manage daily and weekly activities for OL:CDS deployment resources, coordinating instrument migration schedules with the core team.

·       Serve as the primary technical support contact for AIC PC builds, Acronis PC image deployment, and instrument connectivity troubleshooting.

·       Author and execute IQ/OQ test scripts, ensuring complete alignment with SDLC and pharmaceutical regulatory standards.

·       Facilitate team syncs, interact with extended client stakeholders, and provide daily supervisory oversight to small deployment teams.

REQUIRED SKILLS (MUST REFLECT IN THE RESUME)

·       Agilent OpenLAB CDS 2.x: 5+ years of experience configuring, supporting, and troubleshooting instrument and software connection issues.

·       Pharmaceutical R&D Informatics: 4+ years supporting Chromatography Data Systems (CDS) for 400+ users/instruments in GxP and non-GxP environments.

·       AWS Cloud Infrastructure: 3+ years requesting and configuring AWS cloud resources for enterprise software platforms.

·       SDLC & Validation: 4+ years authoring/executing IQ/OQ test cases and guiding testers through system upgrades in a regulated setting.

ADDITIONAL DESIRED SKILLS

·       Acronis PC Imaging and AIC hardware deployment.

·       Supervisory experience leading small technical deployment teams.

·       Knowledge of Laboratory Informatics (P3 - Advanced).

·       Direct experience with Merck infrastructure or legacy lab migration projects.
