Description

Lead the technical strategy and implementation of legacy modernization initiatives for capital markets and fixed-income trading platforms. You will drive architectural decisions using modern patterns while ensuring rigorous security, observability, and compliance standards.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement microservices, hexagonal architecture, DDD, CQRS, and event-driven systems to replace monolithic legacy code.
• Apply Strangler Fig, Anti-Corruption Layer, and façade patterns to incrementally modernize existing trading platforms.
• Define and enforce API standards using REST, gRPC, and message brokers like Kafka or RabbitMQ, including versioning strategies.
• Architect secure, observable cloud infrastructure on AWS or Azure using Terraform or Bicep, ensuring full-stack metrics, logs, and traces.
• Conduct threat modeling and implement encryption, secrets management, and identity/role frameworks to meet financial regulatory requirements.

Required Skills

• 12+ years of software engineering experience with deep hands-on expertise in C and C# .NET.
• Proven experience with cloud platforms (AWS or Azure), Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Strong background in DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipeline design and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/Bicep).
• Expertise in distributed system patterns: microservices, hexagonal/ports-and-adapters, DDD, and CQRS.
• Proficiency with integration technologies: REST, gRPC, Kafka, RabbitMQ, and API versioning.
• Knowledge of security best practices, including threat modeling, encryption, secrets management, and identity/roles.
• Understanding of observability principles: implementing metrics, logs, and traces across the full stack.
• Domain knowledge in capital markets, fixed-income trading, real-time transaction systems, and KPIs.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with real-time trading systems and financial services regulatory frameworks.
