Description

You will lead on-premise product installations and manage technical implementations for clients. This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Lead customers through on-premise product installation procedures and configure change management.
• Implement Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) and troubleshoot user issues within Alation.
• Develop custom database, file system, and BI tool connectors using scripts and the Alation REST API.
• Populate metadata loading from various databases, file systems, and BI tools.
• Document technical lessons learned and maintain system stability.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of consulting experience in a lead role.
• 1-2 years of hands-on experience working with Alation.
• Strong SQL skills and experience with multiple database types.
• Experience administering Linux operating systems.
• Experience with Kubernetes and Docker deployments.
• Experience with Azure cloud deployments or AWS.
• Experience with single sign-on and authentication via LDAP and Active Directory.
• Proficiency in Python or Java for interacting with REST APIs.
• Experience with Hadoop distributions including Cloudera, Hortonworks, or MapR.
• Ability to work in the US Central Time Zone.
• Ability to travel to Dallas for on-site visits every 1-2 months.
