Description

Lead end-to-end modernization and migration from MarkLogic to MongoDB for healthcare data systems.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Lead migration efforts for healthcare datasets including members, providers, and claims.
• Design MongoDB schemas using embedded and normalized models for performance and scalability.
• Develop and optimize queries and aggregations using MongoDB Query Language and the Aggregation Framework.
• Manage replication, sharding, high-availability features, and index tuning.
• Write migration scripts and automation using Python, JavaScript, and Spring Boot in a microservices architecture.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in technical engineering roles.
• Expertise in MongoDB, including Atlas, Compass, mongodump, and mongorestore.
• Proficiency in Python, JavaScript, and Spring Boot.
• Experience with ETL processes and data migration strategies.
• Hands-on knowledge of AWS or Google Cloud platforms.
• Experience managing data security requirements including PHI, PII, and PCI compliance.
• Strong understanding of relational databases and SQL.
• Ability to design and implement microservices architecture.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with MarkLogic databases and XQuery.
• Knowledge of Kafka design patterns.
