  Responsibilities

• Serve as a senior technical and functional resource supporting the development of Private Equity valuation and NAV oversight capabilities.
• Apply hands-on experience with Private Markets / Private Equity asset valuation to guide technology design and development.
• Partner with existing technology leads, architects, and developers to design and implement solutions supporting private asset valuation.
• Help define how private asset valuation data, research, financial information, and other inputs should be incorporated into the valuation process.
• Work with data received from fund administrators and other external sources and integrate that information into existing fund accounting and NAV oversight platforms.
• Develop and enhance cloud-based solutions using AWS.
• Write and contribute to production-quality code, primarily using Python.
• Help design data integrations and workflows supporting fund valuation and NAV oversight.
• Identify technical and functional challenges based on prior experience with private asset valuation and recommend appropriate solutions.
• Help establish processes and technology supporting a strong audit trail for valuation decisions, including the data and research supporting those decisions.
• Explore opportunities to use AI and unstructured data to support private asset valuation research and reconciliation.
• Partner with business stakeholders, including Fund Accounting and Private Equity Valuation teams, to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to other developers and technical resources working on the Private Equity technology initiative.

Must-Have Qualifications

• Direct experience working with Private Equity, Private Markets, Alternative Investments, or other private asset investments.
• Hands-on experience with the valuation of private assets is required. Candidates whose experience is limited to trading, execution, or general investment management without private asset valuation experience will not be a fit.
• Strong software development or engineering background with the ability and willingness to get hands-on with development.
• Experience building or implementing technology solutions in a cloud environment, preferably AWS.
• Strong AWS experience; candidates should have actually built or implemented solutions in AWS or another cloud environment.
• Strong Python experience or the ability to work effectively in Python-based environments.
• Experience working with data integrations and complex financial/investment data.
• Ability to serve as both a technical contributor and functional subject matter expert.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to guide technical teams using prior domain experience.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

• Experience supporting Fund Accounting, Fund Valuation, or NAV oversight technology.
• Experience working with data from fund administrators, custodians, or market-data providers.
• Experience with Canoe, MSCI, or other Private Markets investment technology platforms.
• Experience working with unstructured data and financial research.
• Experience applying AI to valuation, reconciliation, research, or financial workflows.
• Experience with workflow automation.
• Experience with AWS data and analytics technologies.
• Experience with React or other modern front-end frameworks.
• Experience designing or enhancing technology supporting an existing fund accounting/NAV oversight platform.
• Experience creating or enhancing audit trails around investment or valuation decisions.
