Description

Position Overview
We are seeking a Senior Technical Project Manager to lead the assessment and modernization of a large Oracle integration landscape, moving Oracle SOA Suite, Oracle Service Bus (OSB), Fusion Middleware (FMW), Oracle EBS, and EDI/B2B integrations to Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC).

This is a strategic technical leadership and delivery role, not a basic status-reporting position. We are looking for someone with a solid technical background—who has worked on OIC/EBS integrations in past roles and understands Oracle middleware architecture—to provide oversight, understand designs, and foresee technical risks. While hands-on development is not expected in this role, your technical credibility will allow you to speak the developers' language, validate technical approaches, own client relationships, manage expectations, handle tough conversations, protect scope, and keep the engagement commercially healthy.

Key Responsibilities
Client Management
Act as the main point of contact for client business and IT stakeholders up to the executive level.
Build trust quickly and serve as the client’s trusted advisor on Oracle EBS and integration modernization.
Manage expectations, push back professionally when needed, and handle escalations calmly.
Spot scope creep early, handle change requests, and protect delivery and margin.
Identify opportunities to extend or expand the engagement based on evolving client needs.

Project Management
Own scope, schedule, budget, resources, and quality from assessment through go-live and hypercare.
Build and manage project plans, migration wave schedules, estimates, and resource plans.
Maintain RAID logs (risks, assumptions, issues, and dependencies) and drive issues to resolution proactively.
Coordinate onshore and offshore teams of integration consultants, developers, and testers.
Plan and oversee cutovers, rollback strategies, and go-live readiness.
Report project health clearly and honestly to client leadership and internal management.

Technical Governance & Strategic Leadership
Maintain high-level executive understanding of current-state SOA Suite, OSB, FMW, Oracle EBS, and EDI/B2B integrations, including inventory, complexity analysis, and migration feasibility.
Oversee the definition of target-state OIC architecture, migration patterns, conversion approaches, and implementation sequencing.
Provide strategic technical guidance to the team, removing architectural blockers without needing to perform hands-on coding or troubleshooting.
Ensure the team establishes and adheres to integration standards, architecture principles, and governance models.

Stakeholder Engagement
Organize discovery workshops, architecture reviews, and design sessions.
Present recommendations, risks, and migration strategies to executive stakeholders.
Collaborate across application (Oracle EBS / Cloud Apps), infrastructure, security, and business teams.

Qualifications & Skills
Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years in enterprise integration and middleware, with deep experience across the Oracle integration landscape (Oracle EBS, Oracle SOA Suite, OSB, Fusion Middleware, WebLogic Server, and Oracle API technologies).
  • Prior hands-on experience with Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) and Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) integrations, providing a clear understanding of standard integration patterns, adapters, and data structures.
  • 5+ years managing client-facing technical projects, ideally in a consulting or systems-integrator environment.
  • Proven track record of delivering at least one Oracle integration modernization or migration to OIC.
  • Deep conceptual and architectural understanding of EDI/B2B architectures (EDIFACT and/or ANSI X12), trading partner integrations, and B2B transformations.
  • Strong familiarity with REST/SOAP, XML, JSON, XSLT, XPath, API management, and event-driven/hybrid cloud integration patterns.
  • Domain knowledge in supply chain, procurement, logistics, and order management integrations.

Preferred Qualifications
Oracle Cloud certification in OIC or related integration technologies.
PMP, PMI-ACP, or similar project management certification.
Experience with Oracle EBS upgrades/migrations or integrating Oracle Fusion Applications.
Manufacturing, supply chain, or distribution industry background.
Exposure to Agile and DevOps delivery frameworks.
