Description

You will perform Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V) to provide objective assessments of project health, deliverables, and compliance across assigned technology initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Conduct IV&V activities to ensure independent assessment of project health and adherence to DTMB standards.
• Review project documentation including charters, management plans, schedules, risk registers, and contracts.
• Evaluate deliverables for quality, completeness, and requirement adherence.
• Identify risks and deficiencies early to recommend specific mitigation strategies.
• Develop IV&V Service Plans, Monthly Project Health Assessment Reports, and executive briefings for steering committees.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of IT project management experience supporting large, complex technology initiatives.
• 5+ years of experience providing Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V) or equivalent quality assurance services.
• Experience supporting high-visibility, politically sensitive projects in public sector or highly regulated environments.
• Strong understanding of PMI’s PMBOK framework, risk management, and quality assurance principles.
• Proven ability to assess project health objectively and recommend actionable solutions.
• Professional-grade technical writing and verbal communication skills for executive briefings.

Preferred Skills

• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
• Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) certifications.
