Description

You will lead in-depth research and analysis of emerging cyber threats, specifically targeting ransomware campaigns and sophisticated attacks.

Responsibilities

• Conduct deep research into ransomware operations, tradecraft, and actor affiliations to maintain a dedicated knowledge base.
• Utilize reverse engineering and malware analysis to identify malicious code, functionality, and potential impact.
• Identify and track threat actors, their capabilities, and the infrastructure they utilize.
• Monitor malicious infrastructure and extract fingerprints to track command and control (C2) systems.
• Develop and maintain hunting strategies to track shifting attacker tactics and software vulnerabilities.
• Create actionable intelligence reports and threat briefings for senior management and stakeholders.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in cybercrime investigation or malware analysis.
• Proficiency in static and dynamic malware analysis, including sandboxing and debugging.
• Experience with unpacking and deobfuscation techniques.
• Strong knowledge of Yara for tracking new malware families and validation best practices.
• Deep understanding of the cyber threat landscape, including actors and TTPs.
• Practical application of threat intelligence frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK and the Diamond Model.
• Ability to implement hunting strategies to discover software vulnerabilities.
• Strong analytical skills to identify patterns and trends within large datasets.

Preferred Skills

• Relevant certifications such as GREM, CREA, or CMA.
