Lead deep research into ransomware campaigns and sophisticated cyber threats. Own the full analysis lifecycle from reverse engineering to actionable intelligence reporting.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth research into ransomware operations, tradecraft, and actor affiliations.
• Perform static and dynamic malware analysis, including reverse engineering and unpacking.
• Monitor malicious infrastructure and extract fingerprints to track command and control (C2) systems.
• Develop and maintain hunting strategies to track shifting attacker tactics and software vulnerabilities.
• Create actionable intelligence reports and threat briefings for senior management.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in cybercrime investigation or malware analysis.
• Proficiency in static and dynamic malware analysis, sandboxing, and debugging.
• Experience with unpacking and deobfuscation techniques.
• Strong knowledge of Yara for tracking new malware families and validation.
• Deep understanding of the cyber threat landscape, actors, and TTPs.
• Practical application of MITRE ATT&CK and the Diamond Model.
• Ability to implement hunting strategies to discover software vulnerabilities.
• Strong analytical skills to identify patterns in large datasets.

Preferred Skills

• Relevant certifications such as GREM, CREA, or CMA.
