Lead user-centered design for complex logistics and railroad operations workflows.

Responsibilities

• Lead user research initiatives using generative and evaluative methods.
• Design usable, responsive applications for various customer roles and products.
• Translate research findings, data, and insights into validated design solutions.
• Create design and test artifacts including wireframes, high-fidelity prototypes, user flows, and journey maps.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide design critiques and guidance to early-career designers.

Required Skills

• 15+ years of experience in UI and Visual Design.
• Proven track record leading user-centered design processes with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to analyze complex workflows spanning multiple departments and user groups.
• Experience creating sketches, wireframes, visual design comps, and high-fidelity prototypes.
• Proficiency in developing user research scripts, reports, and usability test artifacts.
• Strong communication skills to articulate design decisions and influence stakeholders.
• Experience applying design system standards to specialized applications.

Preferred Skills

• Experience designing map applications and working with geospatial UIs.
• Familiarity with design systems such as Material Design.
• Experience using research repositories like Dovetail and analyzing data via analytics software.
