Description

Lead strategic planning and management of UNIX/Linux systems across a global environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic plans for global UNIX/Linux infrastructure.
• Lead and mentor a global team of engineers and administrators.
• Manage project lifecycles to ensure deliverables meet timelines and budget constraints.
• Coordinate with cross-functional stakeholders to align infrastructure initiatives with business objectives.
• Identify and mitigate risks associated with large-scale infrastructure projects.

Required Skills

• 6+ years of experience in UNIX/Linux environments.
• 5+ years of project management experience in large, complex global environments.
• Deep technical knowledge of Red Hat, CentOS, and Ubuntu.
• Expertise in infrastructure design, implementation, and maintenance.
• Proficiency in Bash, Python, or Perl scripting.
• Experience with configuration management tools like Ansible.
• Familiarity with containerization technologies including Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience using Agile methodologies and tools such as JIRA and Confluence.

Preferred Skills

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Certifications such as PMP, Agile, ITIL, RHCE, or LPIC-3.
