Description

You will manage and troubleshoot complex, heterogeneous UNIX/Linux environments across multiple locations.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain physical and virtual UNIX-based hosts across Linux (RHEL, Ubuntu, SUSE) and Solaris platforms.
• Perform advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis for UNIX operational issues.
• Configure and deploy hardware devices including Client DL/BL Series, Sun Hardware, Super Micro, and Blade/Encapsule platforms.
• Oversee datacenter operations, infrastructure health, and VMware clustering.
• Provide after-hours support for critical activities and escalations.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Ubuntu, SUSE, and Solaris.
• Cross-platform administration experience in complex environments.
• In-depth troubleshooting skills for UNIX operations.
• Familiarity with storage technologies, SAN, and RAID concepts.
• Hands-on experience with hardware configuration and deployment.
• Knowledge of PXE boot, Kickstart automation, patching, and package management.
• Proficiency in VMware environments.
• Bachelor's degree and 10+ years of experience.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with automation tools and scripting (Shell, Python, Ansible).
