Description

You will lead UX/UI design efforts to ensure alignment with user experience best practices and agency-wide standards.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Translate research findings into user stories, requirements, workflows, wireframes, and prototypes.
• Conduct user testing and outreach to validate product effectiveness alongside stakeholders.
• Partner with product teams and senior leadership to develop design solutions and rationales.
• Collaborate with internal and external product designers, developers, and product managers.
• Oversee design initiatives to maintain consistency across digital products.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of experience in software product development, digital design, or UX/UI.
• 8+ years of experience designing mockups and wireframes following UX best practices.
• 8+ years of experience conducting user and usability research.
• 4+ years of experience leading large-scale UX/UI initiatives.
• 4+ years of experience developing wireframes, mockups, and prototypes using Figma or similar tools.
• 3+ years of experience ensuring designs and websites comply with federal accessibility guidelines.
• 5+ years of experience in professional writing, organization, communication, and facilitation.
• Professional portfolio demonstrating user research, visual design, and usability studies.

Preferred Skills

• 3 years of experience using issue-tracking software such as Atlassian Jira.
• 2 years of experience working with TEA or another state/local education agency.
