Akkodis is seeking a highly experienced Senior UX Designer (Service Design) to lead complex, end‑to‑end service design initiatives within large, multi‑stakeholder environments. This role focuses on improving how digital and in‑person services are designed, delivered, adopted, and scaled across programs, organizations, and jurisdictions. The successful consultant will bring a strong combination of service design expertise, research capability, strategic thinking, and stakeholder leadership to support modernization initiatives and high‑impact public‑facing services.
Scope
Lead end‑to‑end service design initiatives that improve service delivery, adoption, and scalability across programs and jurisdictions.
Plan, facilitate, and synthesize value stream mapping and service blueprinting sessions to identify systemic gaps, risks, and opportunities across policy, process, technology and data.
Apply qualitative and quantitative research methods to validate service pain points, inform prioritization, and shape evidence‑based design recommendations.
Facilitate collaborative workshops and in‑person engagements with users and stakeholders, building alignment across groups with competing priorities and varying readiness.
Assignment Deliverables
End‑to‑end service design artifacts including service blueprints, journey maps, value stream maps, and experience models
User research plans, findings, and synthesized insights with clear implications for service improvement
UX and service design prototypes (low‑ to high‑fidelity) that validate concepts across channels
Actionable service recommendations, including risks, dependencies, and scalability considerations.
Expertise Required
Must Have:
7+ years of professional experience in service design, UX design, and user research
Proven experience leading end‑to‑end service design initiatives in complex, multi‑stakeholder environments
Strong facilitation skills for stakeholder workshops, co‑creation sessions, and research activities
Demonstrated ability to apply enterprise and systems thinking across policy, operations, technology and data.
Experience translating research insights into scalable, user‑centred service solutions
Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex concepts to non‑specialist audiences.
Nice to Have:
Experience supporting Agile or iterative delivery teams
Mentorship or leadership experience within UX or service design teams.
