Description

Lead UX and product design efforts to improve education technology integration and ensure user-centricity throughout the product lifecycle.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Oversee UX/UI designs to ensure decisions adhere to agency standards and industry best practices.
• Translate research into user stories, requirements, flows, wireframes, and prototypes.
• Conduct user testing and outreach to validate that products meet end-user needs.
• Collaborate on the future product roadmap with product teams and stakeholders.
• Partner with senior leadership, developers, and product managers to communicate design rationale.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of experience in software product development, digital design, or UX/UI.
• 8+ years of experience designing mockups and wireframes following UX best practices.
• 8+ years of experience conducting user and usability research.
• 8+ years of experience maintaining a portfolio of user research, visual design, and usability studies.
• 4+ years of experience leading large-scale UX/UI efforts.
• 4+ years of experience developing wireframes, mockups, and prototypes in Figma or comparable software.
• 3+ years of experience ensuring designs and websites conform to federal accessibility guidelines.
• Strong writing, organization, communication, and facilitation skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience using Atlassian Jira for issue tracking.
• Experience working with TEA or other state/local education agencies.
