Description

You will maintain and optimize VMware vSphere 7.x environments and VSAN 7.0 all-flash SSD storage systems.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Maintain existing VMware vSphere 7.x and VSAN 7.0 infrastructure.
• Design and build virtual environment service models, including IaaS and PaaS.
• Perform lifecycle hardware replacements, including racking hosts and managing power.
• Provide design, analysis, development, integration, and testing for virtual infrastructure.
• Guide and coach less-experienced system engineers through work reviews and task leadership.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of virtualization experience.
• VMware vSphere 7.x, vCenter, and ESXi.
• Proficiency with vSphere HA, vCenter HA, DRS, VMotion, and Enhanced Link Mode.
• Experience with Certificate management and Key Management Systems.
• Network configuration expertise including VMKernel, VMNic, distributed switches, and VLANs.
• Knowledge of VCSA Backup and Recovery, Host Profiles, Content Libraries, and vSAN storage policies.
• VMware Certified Professional (Data Center v7.x).
• DoD 8570 IAT Level II (e.g., CompTIA Security+ with CE).
• Active Secret clearance with eligibility for TS/SCI.
• Bachelor's degree.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with vROps (ARIA Operations), SRM, vRA, and Horizon 7.
• Familiarity with DELL EMC server hardware.
