Description

You will administer and optimize large-scale VMware environments, including vSphere, VCF, and hybrid infrastructure, ensuring high availability and disaster recovery compliance.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Administer vSphere, VCF, and ESXi hosts, clusters, and resource pools while managing daily operations via PowerCLI and Ansible.
• Design and execute VM migrations using VMware HCX and implement DR solutions with Zerto aligned to RPO/RTO targets.
• Optimize virtual infrastructure performance, capacity, and scalability using Aria Ops and enterprise storage integration (SAN/NAS, vSAN).
• Automate provisioning, patching, and lifecycle management through Infrastructure as Code practices.
• Support 24x7 production SLAs, participate in on-call rotation, and manage change requests via CAB reviews.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience as a VMware Subject Matter Expert with strong L3 administration and engineering expertise.
• Advanced knowledge of vSphere components including HA, DRS, vMotion, and Distributed Switches.
• Hands-on experience with VMware HCX for migrations (vMotion, Bulk, Cold, Replication Assisted).
• Practical working knowledge of Zerto for disaster recovery replication topologies and failover mechanisms.
• Proficiency in automation tools: PowerCLI, Ansible, and Terraform.
• Experience with Aria Ops for monitoring, capacity planning, and performance tuning.
• Strong understanding of hybrid cloud fundamentals and enterprise network/storage architecture.

Preferred Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Proven track record of cross-functional teamwork with network, compute, and application stakeholders.
