Description

Manage automated deployment and management within a VMware cloud-native environment. Lead technical design for highly available, fault-tolerant platform and cloud infrastructure. Mentor junior engineers and solve complex programming and design problems.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical design for highly available, fault-tolerant platform and cloud infrastructure.
• Install, test, and administer virtualization using VMware and Hyper-V tools.
• Establish standards for the design, deployment, maintenance, and automation of cloud infrastructure.
• Act as a first responder to critical incidents and develop automated responses to minimize manual intervention.
• Create and maintain technical documentation and standard operating procedures.

Required Skills

• 4+ years of professional experience with VMware services and tools.
• Direct experience administering multiple VMware products across remote locations and data centers.
• 2+ years of programming experience using Java, C++, Perl, Python, Ruby, or advanced Shell scripting.
• Experience with Kubernetes, Ansible, Terraform, GitLab, and Jenkins.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of Infrastructure-As-Code, automated deployments, and cluster management within CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with Kubernetes, containers, and microservices principles.
