Description

You will lead UX and product design efforts to improve education technology integration and end-user experiences.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Oversee UX/UI designs to ensure decisions adhere to agency standards and industry best practices.
• Translate research into user stories, requirements, flows, wireframes, and prototypes.
• Conduct user testing and outreach to ensure products meet end-user needs.
• Collaborate with product managers, developers, and senior leadership on design solutions and roadmaps.
• Drive alignment between new solutions and existing work in the field.

Required Skills

• Proven experience leading large-scale UX/UI efforts in software product development or digital design.
• Documented experience developing wireframes, mockups, and prototypes using Figma or comparable design software.
• Expertise in conducting user and usability research.
• Demonstrated ability to ensure designs and websites conform to federal accessibility guidelines.
• Experience using Atlassian Jira for issue tracking.
• Documented experience working for or closely with TEA or another state or local education agency.
• Strong portfolio showcasing user research, visual design, and usability studies.
• Strong writing, organization, communication, and facilitation skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience working under minimal supervision with high levels of independent judgment.
