Description

Lead the full-stack development of WordPress websites, from custom theme and plugin creation to performance optimization and team leadership.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Develop custom WordPress themes and plugins from scratch using PHP and JavaScript.
• Manage site security, core updates, and performance optimization including browser compatibility testing.
• Implement REST API integrations and handle technical SEO using Yoast SEO and Google Search Console.
• Lead team dynamics, resolve conflicts, and drive projects to meet deadlines using Gantt or burn-down charts.
• Collaborate with designers and stakeholders to ensure functional, visually appealing deliverables.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in web development with deep expertise in WordPress architecture.
• Proficiency in PHP, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and MySQL.
• Experience with REST API integration and local development environments like XAMPP.
• Proficiency in Git/GitHub for version control and Visual Studio Code.
• Strong knowledge of debugging using Chrome DevTools and Microsoft Clarity.
• Competency in performance optimization and responsive design principles.
• Experience monitoring project progress and reporting to leadership.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with Google Algorithm updates.
• Knowledge of advanced caching strategies.
