Lead the architecture, security, and scalability of enterprise-scale WordPress multisite deployments.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design and manage WordPress multisite architecture, ensuring high availability and performance optimization.
• Implement enterprise-grade security controls, including vulnerability management, patching, and compliance monitoring.
• Establish plugin lifecycle governance, enforcing code quality, security standards, and consistent deployments across environments.
• Collaborate with development teams to provide technical leadership, code reviews, and architectural guidance.
• Leverage AI-assisted tools like GitHub Copilot and Claude to drive engineering efficiency and modern practices.

Required Skills

• 12+ years of experience in web or platform engineering with deep WordPress expertise.
• Strong proficiency in PHP, MySQL, and REST APIs.
• Proven track record managing plugin ecosystems at scale with strict governance frameworks.
• Experience with enterprise security, vulnerability management, and compliance standards.
• Practical experience using AI coding assistants such as GitHub Copilot and Claude.
• Demonstrated ability to lead technical design decisions in complex, cross-functional environments.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, Google Cloud Platform) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with headless WordPress or modern frontend frameworks.
• Background in high-tech or semiconductor industry environments.
