Description

Lead the development and delivery of APIs and microservices using Node.js and Fastify.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development team in building and deploying APIs and microservices.
• Collaborate with architects to create detailed technical designs and ensure project alignment.
• Oversee the integration of databases, external APIs, and workflows/ESBs to ensure data flow.
• Mentor team members, conduct code reviews, and implement coding best practices.
• Utilize Jenkins and Codefresh to automate build and deployment processes via CI/CD pipelines.

Required Skills

• 15+ years of experience as a Technical Lead or Senior Developer.
• Proficiency in Node.js and Fastify for API development.
• Hands-on experience with containerization technologies: Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift.
• Working knowledge of AWS cloud services.
• Experience building and maintaining Swagger specifications for API documentation.
• Familiarity with CI/CD Pipelines, Jenkins, and Codefresh.
• Ability to conduct data modelling and mapping for data integrity.
• Strong debugging skills and capacity for independent problem-solving.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with ESB integration patterns.
• Background in mentoring senior engineering teams.
