Description

Manage and maintain large-scale virtual server farms and mission-critical infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Configure and manage VMware ESX/ESXi, vCenter, clusters, DRS, and HA.
• Perform server consolidation and P2V migrations using VM Converter.
• Execute disaster recovery tasks including clustering, vMotion, and snapshot management.
• Configure and manage shared storage using iSCSI, FC, and DAS.
• Troubleshoot complex VMware and Windows server issues using root cause analysis.

• Extensive experience with VMware ESX (6.x, 7.x) and vCenter.
• Proficiency in VMware NSX 6.x deployment.
• Hands-on experience with HPE Server and Storage deployment.
• Deep knowledge of VMware tools including Autodeploy, Host profiles, and dvSwitches.
• Strong skills in PowerShell and PowerCLI scripting.
• Experience with iSCSI, FC, and DAS storage configurations.
• Ability to administer Windows and Linux servers via command line.
• Experience with VCB backup, vData Recovery, and Backup Exec integration.
• Familiarity with IBM, HPE Blade, and x86 hardware architecture.

Preferred Skills

• VCP4 or VCP5 certification.
• Managed Services Support experience.
