Description

You will manage server lifecycle activities, maintain data center hardware stability, and ensure operational continuity.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Plan server and rack layouts, oversee physical mounting, and manage operating system installations.
• Perform daily maintenance, troubleshoot hardware failures, and manage the break-fix process.
• Maintain internal systems including Asset Management, Ticketing, and Rack Elevation data.
• Coordinate with remote vendors to resolve hardware issues and manage the RMA process.
• Diagnose network connectivity issues and provide on-call support for stakeholders.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in server operations or hardware management.
• In-depth knowledge of Linux systems and hardware fault troubleshooting.
• Experience with large-scale remote OS installations using PXE boot.
• Proficiency with Shell or Python scripting.
• Experience using Ansible or similar automation tools.
• Solid understanding of networking: Subnetting, VLANs, DNS, and IPv6.
• Knowledge of out-of-band communication methods like IPMI and NCSi.

Preferred Skills

• Ability to manage media destruction processes and online asset data verification.
