Description

Manage all aspects of service department operations to drive efficient workflow, customer satisfaction, and profitability.

Responsibilities

• Lead, train, and develop service advisors and technicians to maintain high performance and growth standards.
• Manage the flow of all service work, including technician accountability, repair completion, and documentation.
• Communicate directly with customers regarding repair progress, costs, time requirements, and authorizations.
• Ensure compliance with OEM policies, warranty procedures, and federal, state, and local regulations including OSHA, EPA, and hazardous waste disposal.
• Monitor performance metrics such as revenue, profitability, and efficiency while conducting periodic spot checks on job quality.

Required Skills

• Minimum of 5 years of technical experience in the medium/heavy duty truck industry.
• Valid Class B CDL with air brake endorsement.
• Ability to evaluate and implement vendor and warranty guidelines and approval processes.
• Strong technical understanding of vehicle repairs and documentation precision.
• Proven problem-solving and organizational skills.
• Experience managing team schedules and departmental meetings.

Preferred Skills

• Proficiency with CDK, CDK Sales Overdrive, and Microsoft Office Suite.
