Key Responsibilities

Define and implement ServiceNow technical architecture aligned with business requirements and enterprise standards.

Lead the design and development of ServiceNow applications, modules, workflows, and platform enhancements.

Provide technical guidance on platform configuration, customization, and application development.

Design integrations between ServiceNow and external enterprise systems using REST, SOAP, and other appropriate integration methods.

Establish technical standards, coding guidelines, and development best practices.

Review technical designs, scripts, configurations, and code developed by engineering teams.

Ensure platform performance, scalability, security, maintainability, and upgrade compatibility.

Guide developers in troubleshooting complex platform issues and resolving technical challenges.

Support platform upgrades, instance management, and release planning.

Collaborate with business and functional teams to evaluate requirements and recommend appropriate technical solutions.

Identify opportunities to reduce unnecessary customization and maximize the use of platform capabilities.

Support technical documentation, solution design reviews, and architecture governance.

Must-Have Skills

10+ years of overall IT experience with substantial ServiceNow technical experience.

Strong understanding of ServiceNow platform architecture and application development.

Experience with ServiceNow scripting, including JavaScript, Business Rules, Client Scripts, Script Includes, and UI Policies.

Knowledge of ServiceNow Flow Designer, workflows, and automation capabilities.

Experience designing and implementing ServiceNow integrations using REST and SOAP APIs.

Understanding of ServiceNow data models, access controls, roles, and security.

Experience in technical design, solution architecture, and code reviews.

Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.

Good-to-Have Skills

Experience with ITSM, ITOM, ITAM, HRSD, CSM, or other ServiceNow modules.

Knowledge of ServiceNow CMDB, Discovery, and Service Mapping.

Experience with IntegrationHub and MID Server.

Familiarity with ServiceNow architecture governance and platform upgrade strategies.

Relevant ServiceNow certifications such as Certified System Administrator, Certified Application Developer, or Certified Technical Architect.

Experience working in Agile delivery environments
