Description

You will lead the architectural design and execution of complex infrastructure migrations from on-premises VMware environments to Azure VMware Solution.

Responsibilities

• Partner with program managers and service delivery teams to architect large-scale enterprise infrastructure deployments.
• Collaborate with application, infrastructure, and security stakeholders to define requirements and migration strategies.
• Design and propose solutions based on the latest Azure VMware Solution and VMware product updates.
• Develop solution documentation, automated self-help tools, and technical training for other specialists.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of IT experience with at least 3 years focused on Azure VMware Solution.
• 5 years of experience in VMware vSphere, Azure cloud services deployments, and cloud migrations.
• Expertise in VMware vSphere 6.0 and above.
• Hands-on experience with VMware NSX-T network virtualization, including NSX edge services, DNS, DHCP, Gateway, and Distributed Firewall.
• Proficiency with VMware vSAN and NSX migration from VLAN or NSX-V.
• Deep knowledge of Azure networking including ExpressRoute, VPN, Virtual WAN, and Azure Route Server.
• Experience with VMware HCX for on-premises to cloud or cloud-to-cloud migrations.
• Strong understanding of core platform architecture: hypervisors, networking security, data protection, and high availability.
• Degree in Computer Science, a technology-focused discipline, or equivalent experience.

Preferred Skills

• VMware HCX Advanced Enterprise, Site Recovery Manager, or vSphere Replication.
• VMware management suites: vCD, vROps, vRNI, or vRLI.
• Azure Disk Pools, Azure NetApp Files, Azure Monitor, or Azure Arc.
