Key Responsibilities

Architecture & Strategy

• Define ServiceNow technical architecture and platform standards.
• Ensure alignment with CSDM and ServiceNow best practices.
• Design scalable solutions while minimizing technical debt.
• Develop architecture documentation and technical specifications.

ServiceNow Development

• Develop custom scoped applications and complex workflows.
• Build and maintain Business Rules, Script Includes, UI Actions, and Client Scripts.
• Use JavaScript and Glide APIs for advanced ServiceNow development.
• Troubleshoot and optimize complex platform solutions.

Security & Compliance

• Implement security controls within a FedRAMP-authorized environment.
• Configure advanced ACLs and data encryption.
• Follow secure development and coding standards.
• Ensure solutions meet applicable government and regulatory requirements.

Integrations & Automation

• Design and implement integrations with third-party systems.
• Work with IntegrationHub, Flow Designer, MID Servers, REST, and SOAP APIs.
• Develop automation solutions to improve service delivery and operational efficiency.

Platform Governance

• Establish ServiceNow development standards and best practices.
• Conduct code reviews and ensure platform health and upgradeability.
• Support platform performance, scalability, and long-term maintainability.

Stakeholder Collaboration

• Partner with Engagement Leads and business stakeholders.
• Translate functional requirements into technical designs.
• Lead technical workshops and collaborate with diverse stakeholder groups.

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of overall IT experience.
• 5+ years of strong hands-on ServiceNow development and architecture experience.
• Expert knowledge of JavaScript, HTML/CSS, and ServiceNow development tools.
• Experience with:

  • Service Portal
  • Business Rules
  • Script Includes
  • Client Scripts
  • UI Actions
  • Glide APIs
• Strong CMDB and ITOM experience.
• Experience with Discovery and Service Mapping.
• Experience working in FedRAMP or similarly regulated government cloud environments.
• Strong understanding of ServiceNow security and compliance.
• Ability to work onsite in Columbus, OH.
• Strong technical leadership and stakeholder communication skills.

Required Certifications

• ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA)
• ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD)
• ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) – ITSM or ITOM preferred
• ITIL v4 Foundation

Preferred Certifications

• ServiceNow Certified Technical Architect (CTA)
• ServiceNow Certified Master Architect (CMA)
• Security+ or comparable cybersecurity certification
