Description

You will own the ServiceNow CMDB strategy, administration, and continuous improvement, ensuring data integrity across the IT infrastructure.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day CMDB operations, including priority setting, work assignments, and policy compliance.
• Chairs the Configuration Control Board (CCB), reviewing and approving significant infrastructure changes to protect CMDB data.
• Configure and maintain ServiceNow Discovery, Mapping, and MID Server architecture to automate data ingestion from tools like SCCM and Active Directory.
• Design and implement integrations, import sets, and automated processes to retire stale data and resolve discovery failures.
• Develop reports, dashboards, and scripts (JavaScript, Business Rules, UI Policies) to monitor data quality and CMDB health.

Required Skills

• 15+ years of total IT experience with at least 8 years focused on ServiceNow CMDB, Discovery, and CSDM.
• Deep expertise in ServiceNow CMDB administration, core platform functionality, and CSDM framework implementation.
• Strong proficiency in ServiceNow scripting: JavaScript, Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Policies, and ACLs.
• Hands-on experience with ServiceNow Discovery, MID Server architecture, and data imports.
• Proven ability to build and manage integrations with third-party tools (SCCM, Active Directory, monitoring systems).
• Experience with automation tools including Flow Designer, Scheduled Jobs, and Performance Analytics.
• Strong problem-solving mindset with a focus on data quality, consistency, and identifying service improvement opportunities.

Preferred Skills

• ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist: Data Foundations, CMDB and CSDM (CISDF CMDB and CSDM).
• ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) or Certified Application Developer (CAD).
