Description

ServiceNow & SRE Operations

• Act as the operational bridge between ServiceNow Platform teams and SRE/Infrastructure teams.
• Support and maintain ServiceNow distributed infrastructure, including MID Servers, Client Agents, and API integrations.
• Monitor platform reliability, availability, and performance to meet SLA/SLO objectives.
• Participate in incident response, troubleshooting, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and remediation activities.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to improve platform stability and operational efficiency.

Infrastructure Automation & CI/CD

• Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and Puppet.
• Develop and maintain GitLab CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments.
• Provision and manage AWS infrastructure using Terraform.
• Manage on-premises infrastructure deployment and configuration using Puppet.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and operational workflows.

Kubernetes & Application Reliability

• Support Kubernetes-based service architecture for Java applications.
• Deploy, manage, and troubleshoot containerized applications in Kubernetes environments.
• Build and maintain Linux deployment artifacts and deployment pipelines.
• Ensure application scalability, resilience, and high availability.
• Optimize deployment processes and platform reliability.

Observability & Monitoring

• Implement and maintain application and infrastructure monitoring solutions.
• Build dashboards for telemetry, performance monitoring, and operational health.
• Configure logging, alerting, and proactive monitoring mechanisms.
• Analyze logs, metrics, and traces to identify performance bottlenecks and operational risks.
• Utilize observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry (OTel), or similar platforms.

Security & Secrets Management

• Manage application secrets and credentials using HashiCorp Vault or equivalent solutions.
• Implement secure access controls and enterprise security best practices.
• Support infrastructure hardening and least-privilege access models.
• Ensure compliance with organizational security standards.

Troubleshooting & Reliability Engineering

• Troubleshoot distributed systems, cloud-native applications, Linux systems, Kubernetes clusters, networking, and deployment issues.
• Support production incidents and perform root cause analysis.
• Identify operational inefficiencies and automate repetitive tasks.
• Collaborate with development and platform engineering teams to improve deployment quality and reliability.

Qualifications:

• 2–4 years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), DevOps, or Platform Engineering.
• Hands-on experience supporting cloud-native infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes, and Linux-based environments.
• Experience improving platform reliability, automation, observability, and operational excellence.
