Description

You will act as a subject matter expert for ServiceNow Discovery and Service Mapping within a large IT organization.

Responsibilities

• Configure and manage ServiceNow Discovery and Service Mapping processes.
• Integrate external tools to federate data into the CMDB.
• Troubleshoot product installations, credential management, and permission issues.
• Collaborate with network engineers to resolve connectivity and firewall concerns.
• Administer Windows and Unix environments to support platform requirements.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience working within a large IT organization.
• Minimum 1 year of experience with ServiceNow Discovery and Service Mapping.
• Proficiency with PowerShell, WMI, SSH, SNMP, REST, and SOAP.
• Strong command of JavaScript, XML, and JSON.
• Intermediate to deep understanding of Ruby and Java.
• Experience with RegEx and network concepts including routers, switches, firewalls, NAT, and load balancing.
• Solid Windows and Unix administration skills.
• Ability to manage credentials and troubleshoot complex network connectivity.

Preferred Skills

• ServiceNow Administration or CIS Discovery/Service Mapping certification.
• Experience with LDAP, Active Directory, and SUDO.
• Scripting capabilities in Groovy.
