Job Opening: ServiceNow Technical Lead
Location: Dallas, TX (Onsite – 5 Days/Week)
Position Type: Contract (W2 or C2C)
Experience Required: 10+ Years
Certifications: Active CSA (Certified System Administrator) held for 1+ year (Mandatory).
About the Role:
We are looking for a ServiceNow Technical Lead to own platform stability and performance in a high-volume environment (1M+ flow executions per day). You will lead a small team, drive deep technical root cause analysis for node and flow issues, enforce best practices in Flow Designer and scripting, and work closely with operations and ServiceNow support to keep the platform stable, scalable, and performant.
Key Responsibilities:
Architect and optimize Order Management workflows, focusing on the decomposition of product orders into service and resource orders.
Ensure the CMDB is accurately updated through ITOM (Discovery/Service Mapping) to support seamless Order Management and Asset tracking.
Lead the design of scalable logic in Flow Designer to handle massive throughput (1M+ daily hits) without triggering thread exhaustion.
Perform deep-dive analysis into node performance, identifying "long-running" scripts or inefficient database queries within the ITSM/OM modules.
Oversee complex REST/SOAP integrations connecting ServiceNow to external Northbound (CRM) and Southbound (Network/Provisioning) systems.
Conduct rigorous code reviews and provide technical guidance to a small team of developers on Script Includes, Business Rules, and Flow logic.
Required Skills & Experience:
8+ years of hands-on ServiceNow Development.
ServiceNow OM Expertise: Strong understanding of Order Management for Telecommunications or Technology, including the Product Catalog, Decomposition, and Fulfillment tasks.
ITSM & ITOM Proficiency: Comprehensive knowledge of Incident, Change, Discovery, and Event Management.
Performance Optimization: Expert-level skill in table indexing, query tuning, and identifying "Slow Patterns" in scripts.
Advanced Scripting: Mastery of JavaScript, Script Includes, and complex API integrations.
Flow Designer: Proven ability to manage sub-flows, error handling, and concurrency within the Flow Designer engine.
