Role Summary 

Hiring a QA Engineer (Automation) with a primary focus on Java + Selenium, and proven experience in API testing, UI automation, and Salesforce testing. You will design test strategies, implement scalable automation, and ensure high quality releases across Salesforce features and integrated backend services. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Test Strategy & Planning  
• Analyze requirements/user stories and define test plans, test scenarios, and traceability. 
• Estimate effort, plan test cycles (smoke/regression), and manage test data. 
• Automation (Primary: Java + Selenium)  
• Design and maintain Selenium WebDriver frameworks in Java with TestNG/JUnit, using Maven/Gradle. 
• Build modular, maintainable test suites (e.g., Page Object Model, utilities, data-driven tests). 
• Integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins/GitHub Actions/Azure DevOps), enable parallel execution, and generate reports (Allure/Extent). 
• API Testing  
• Create and execute API tests using Rest Assured (Java) and Postman collections; validate requests/responses, schemas, and contracts. 
• Mock/stub services when needed; test auth flows (OAuth 2.0/JWT), and handle environment configs. 
• Salesforce Testing  
• Validate Lightning UI, page layouts, flows, validation rules, assignment rules, and Sales/Service Cloud customizations. 
• Test integrations (e.g., middleware, webhooks, async jobs), Apex-triggered logic, SOQL-driven validations, and profiles/permission sets. 
• Coordinate with Salesforce Admins/Devs for test data seeding (sandboxes), deployments, and UAT. 
• Own defect life cycle (triage, RCA, mitigation). 

• Quality Governance  
• Track quality metrics (pass rate, defect leakage, automation coverage, MTTD/MTTR). 

Required Skills & Experience 

• 5–7+ years in QA/Automation  
• Strong Java programming and OOP; Selenium WebDriver expertise. 
• Test frameworks: TestNG or JUnit; build tools: Maven/Gradle. 
• API testing: Rest Assured (preferred) and/or Postman; JSON/XML, Swagger/OpenAPI familiarity. 
• CI/CD: Jenkins/GitHub Actions/Azure DevOps; Git branching workflows. 
• Salesforce testing experience: Lightning UI, flows, validation rules, profiles/permission sets, custom objects, basic Apex/SOQL awareness (reading/debugging). 
• SDLC & Agile: User stories, acceptance criteria, sprint ceremonies; defect management (Jira/Azure Boards). 

Nice to Have 

• Salesforce certifications (e.g., Admin, Platform App Builder). 
• BDD with Cucumber (Gherkin). 
• Contract testing (Pact), Schema validation tools. 
• Performance (JMeter/K6) or security testing basics. 
• Service Virtualization (WireMock). 
• Experience with Docker for local test environments
