Description

Execute detailed should-cost analysis and technical evaluations to drive cost reduction across a global supply base.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Perform should-cost analysis using aPriori to evaluate parts and simple assemblies.
• Conduct technical calculations including cycle times, MHR, and cost element distributions.
• Analyze manufacturing processes to generate detailed process steps for sub-assemblies and parts.
• Identify cost reduction opportunities and maintain databases for raw materials and MHR.
• Negotiate with a global supply base based on technical cost data and interpret GD&T standards.

Required Skills

• 7-10 years of experience in should-costing and detailed cost analysis.
• Expertise with the aPriori should-costing tool.
• Deep knowledge of manufacturing processes: Castings, Forgings, Sheet Metal-Stampings, and Machining.
• Technical understanding of manufacturability for Mechanical, Electrical, and Electronic components.
• Experience with Automotive, BIW, Transmission, and EV vehicle component costing.
• Proficiency in performing technical calculations for parts and assemblies.
• Strong understanding of GD&T standards and ability to explain applications to suppliers.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent graduate qualification.

Preferred Skills

• Ability to manage negotiations with global suppliers effectively.
