This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

  • Design embedded firmware architecture, including power management, boot loaders, scheduling, and RTOS or bare-metal implementations.
  • Develop custom OS kernel drivers and APIs for hardware accelerators and peripherals.
  • Support all SoC development phases from early architecture requirements and simulation to FPGA debug and chip bringup.
  • Perform performance and power estimation using simulation and modeling techniques for high-compute systems.
  • Debug embedded systems at the hardware level using lab instrumentation.

Required Skills

  • 5+ years of experience in embedded firmware design for low-power mobile SoC.
  • Proficiency in C and C++ for development, debugging, testing, and performance analysis.
  • Deep understanding of hardware mechanics, including clock-level issues, bridges, delays, interrupts, clock gating, and polling.
  • Hands-on coding experience with peripherals including UART, SPI, CSI-2, I2C, GPIO, and USB.
  • Experience with lab instrumentation such as oscilloscopes and logic/protocol analyzers.
  • Familiarity with embedded micro-controller architecture.
  • Experience with FPGA, hardware evaluation boards, EDA design tools, or ISA simulators.
  • Experience in real-time processing for computer vision and user interaction tasks.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.
