Description

You will manage and optimize SingleStore database systems while using Python to automate operational workflows.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain SingleStore database systems.
• Monitor performance, implement tuning, and optimize queries.
• Develop Python scripts to automate database management tasks.
• Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, and implement backup plans.
• Maintain security policies, schemas, and technical documentation.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience as a Database Administrator.
• Proven experience specifically with SingleStore.
• Strong proficiency in Python for database automation.
• In-depth knowledge of query optimization and performance tuning.
• Experience with RDBMS backup and recovery procedures.
• Hands-on experience with database security best practices.
• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Vertica, MySQL, or Oracle.
• Experience managing distributed databases.
• Knowledge of ETL processes and data warehousing.
