Description

You will own site reliability engineering for large-scale distributed applications on the Microsoft Azure platform, focusing on SLO attainment, incident prevention, and customer supportability.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Build and enhance tooling and automation to accelerate issue resolution and prevent incidents.
• Act as the single point of contact for large enterprise customers, handling service escalations and driving technical resolutions.
• Analyze system telemetry and data to provide operational insights to Design and Product teams for sustainable supportability improvements.
• Monitor production availability, assess holistic system health, and optimize performance metrics.
• Design and implement service telemetry changes to enable proactive alerting based on utilization and resource health.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of overall experience, including 4-6 years specifically in Site Reliability Engineering.
• Strong proficiency in Python, C#, and JavaScript for structured and object-oriented programming.
• Deep knowledge of the Microsoft Azure cloud environment and its core services.
• Experience running production environments for large-scale distributed software applications.
• Ability to design and implement automation solutions for faster incident resolution.
• Proactive approach to identifying performance bottlenecks and system health issues.
• Experience communicating technical strategies to enterprise customers and cross-functional teams.

Preferred Skills

• Previous success in technical engineering roles beyond simple scripting.
• Experience designing features with supportability and observability in mind.
• Ability to formulate long-term strategies for addressing recurring customer pain points.
