Description

You will own the reliability, availability, and scalability of core distributed systems and multi-tier cloud environments.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and improve system reliability by analyzing data from Splunk, Dynatrace, and SolarWinds.
  • Design and deploy multi-data center, large-scale web applications to ensure high uptime and disaster recovery.
  • Build automated tools and scripts for incident auto-remediation and proactive alerting to maintain SLAs.
  • Collaborate with development and operations teams to build cost-effective, highly available systems.
  • Participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation and provide L4 technical support for production environments.

Required Skills

  • 7+ years of experience in production support, operations, and L4 technical support.
  • Proficiency with monitoring tools including Splunk, Dynatrace, and SolarWinds.
  • Experience designing and implementing network and presentation tier technologies such as F5, Apache, and Nginx.
  • Hands-on automation experience using Python, Ruby, Unix Shell (bash, ksh), Perl, or Ant.
  • Strong background in CI/CD, build, and release engineering within JavaEE, C++, or ETL environments.
  • Experience configuring SCM (Git, SVN), Build (CMake, Maven), and CI (Jenkins) tools.
  • Expertise in installing, configuring, and tuning JavaEE application servers like Tomcat or WebSphere.
  • Ability to deploy and automate infrastructure in cloud environments using Chef or RPM.
  • Experience with web services including REST, SOAP, JSON, and XML.
