Description

You will manage distributed infrastructure across multiple datacenters using open-source technologies.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Manage distributed infrastructure and ensure product SLAs.
• Perform capacity planning and participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation.
• Implement Platform as a Service solutions to enhance SRE team efficiency.
• Automate manual procedures through scripting to reduce operational toil.
• Utilize data and metrics to drive decision-making with a focus on security.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in reliability or systems engineering.
• Strong understanding of Linux internals, OS fundamentals, and core network principles.
• Proficiency with container orchestration: OpenShift, Kubernetes, Docker Swarm, or Apache Mesos.
• Experience administering configuration management tools: Puppet, Ansible Tower (AWX), or Chef.
• Hands-on experience with load balancers: HAProxy, Nginx, or F5.
• Experience with caching technologies: Redis, Nginx+, Varnish, or Memcached.
• Proficiency in monitoring and logging stacks: Grafana, InfluxDB, Graphite, Prometheus, ELK, or Graylog.
• Experience with web servers: Nginx, Apache, or Tomcat.
• Scripting skills in Python, Golang, or Perl.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (Redis, MongoDB).
